My (Our) Christmas Letter 2014

Greetings, Wilma and I are relaxing and a bit weary as we review this busy year gone by, we certainly have a lot to celebrate this Christmas.

It all began with this art show which exceeded all our expectations. We’ve never had so much fun doing a project together that involved all of us. “INEXPLICABLE It is About Healing” The healing power of creativity for me is personal and undeniable!

The next event that overshadowed the entire year was that the Supreme Court agreed to review the appeal courts decision for a re-trial. Even though we tried to ignore it, it remained in the back of our minds for the whole year. In fact we all went to Ottawa on November 14th to be at the hearing. We also took the opportunity to enjoy some of the sights in our capital city.

It’s also been a year of intense joy as on August 2 we, with Syras, Natasha and Simeon welcomed Anna Loretta to the family. In September we celebrated Simeon’s second birthday. Than to top it all off we discovered with joy that Larry and Odia were pregnant. Baby is expected in June of ’15.

For Wilma this year will be remembered as her being completely absorbed in the writing and publishing of her book “This Mortal Coil.” This is a book that connects the dots of our complicated trial experience. (It is an E-book available on Amazon.com which you can even read on your computer.) If you really want to know what happened both in court and in our family reading this book will do it.

For me the biggest things about the year were the art show as already mentioned and my second year of being a volunteer art teacher at St. Aidan’s Christian School for inner city students. I think I’m uncovering and nourishing some budding artists, which is very satisfying. I am mostly surprised as to what it's done for me in my own thinking and creative life.

As we review we realize how your support has made such a huge difference for us this year. Your encouraging words, trusting us in sharing our story, prayers and thoughts, gifts and more, have moved or allowed us to scale mountains, take your pick! It has made all the difference. God has been with us the whole way and I (we) are filled with wonder and awe at what has all occurred in the past 30 years of our journey. Thank you is not enough but..."THANK YOU."

Both of us wish you all a very warm and blessed Christmas season plus a fantastic New Year.

Abundant blessings,
Cliff and Wilma

“Christmas – that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance – a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved.” ~ Augusta E. Rundel
