The inside of the pot is clear glazed, as you can see by the green inside color. After consulting with my students I got the glaze to cover the inside by holding the pot with my left hand and pouring the glaze in from a pitcher in my right hand. I then set the pitcher aside and tilted the teapot back and forth till all the inside was covered. Then poured it all out back into the pail of glaze through the spout. This is the glaze that when fired turns clear like glass.
I thought of an idea yesterday how to paint the iron glaze into the groves, without getting it on the colored areas. We will see how that works.
