My Left Brian is Asking: Why a Garden Art Show?

Is he lost, or part of God's garden?
Ok, so it seems that I'm having kind of a single artist, outdoor art fair, showing art in my own backyard garden!

What insanity is that? Considering the time of the year, I mean my ceramic characters will get their ears frozen off by the time it's over! Eventually, the left brain gives up. It's just too illogical!

What's also weird is that it's happening during my wife Wilma's book launch on Sept. 14th. An all day "come and go" affair happening at our own house. She's going to speak and read at 10 am, 3 pm and 7 pm, set herself up in the gazebo and sign books our visitors have purchased. Plus, it will be a whole day with lots of great snacks to be had. I'd do it just for that reason!

So, how dose an outdoor art show go together with a book launch? Could it be that it might be more enjoyable to view art in a garden environment? Could it be that viewers enjoy viewing art much more while getting fresh air in the process? Maybe she thought book people needed an artistic diversion?

Or, could it be that she mentioned and described 15 of these sculptures of mine in her book! And that as a result, readers began asking, " Where can we see these sculptures?" So in light of that, she was advised that it might be a good idea to display at least some of this art at the book launch.

There is quite a story behind how all this came about and we are looking forward to share it at the book launch with each one of you. Everyone is welcome to drop in and celebrate with us.
