Doesn't he look Irish with that amazing hat?
Sunday morning we arrived at the airport early, very early. I think it was all that adrenaline. You could tell we were early in that the United Air ticket agents were not yet on duty. So, we did what any guy would do, we went for our second breakfast! Then at 10:10 am we went through at both the United Airlines and customs which did not take long. Then we had to wait again till 12:45 pm. before boarding.

Actually, it turned out to be a good thing we were this early for it gave us as guyys an opportunity to discuss some important boundaries and issues regarding two guys traveling together successfully. For example sharing window seat options. Working out issues of consent on things like what if one falls asleep and leans on the other's shoulder. (Elbowing is permitted!) Further there is the this clarification of what a traveling "companion" really is. How it is being "like but not like" his wife who should have been on this trip. Bottom line, agreeing that we are both on holidays and that this is if nothing else a "rest" from the turmoil of the last few weeks and months of life stresses we've been dealing with..

The plane too Chicago was small and full. We felt right at home as most of the passengers were overwhelmingly of the male gender...What was that about?  Probably having to do with the lower Canadian dollar and less US shopping happening, which would mostly likely be done by housewives I'm sure.

Those emotions are poison to any living goal.”
